LITTLE project results presentation event at the University of Patras

On Monday 12 May at the University of Patras, an event was held to present the results of the LITTLE project.
The event was welcomed by Mr. Dimitris Homatidis, representative of the Green Fund. Mr. Homatidis stressed the need to recycle batteries of electric vehicles of micro-mobility. Mr. Skiannis, a journalist on the website getelectric.gr, stressed the importance of the project’s results, while he referred extensively to the spread of electromobility in Greece.
Ms. Matina Ziogou, General Manager of Re-Battery S.A., presented the actions of Re-Battery S.A. for the recycling of electric vehicle batteries. In addition, she analyzed the institutional framework and the process of recycling and small vehicles, while she also referred to the cooperation of the company with the University of Patras in the framework of the LITTLE project.
Mrs. Zoi Christoforou, Associate Professor of the University of Patras and scientific coordinator of the LITTLE project, presented the results of the project in detail. She mentioned

(i) conducting field experiments to model the energy consumption of small electric vehicles

(ii) the development and validation of electric scooter and electric bicycle driving simulators

(iii) digital tools for calculating the environmental footprint and mobility of electric skates and bicycles

(iv) in the ecological and safe driving manual; and

(v) in the battery recycling plans.

The event concluded with a demonstration of the simulators at the Transportation and Ambient Systems Laboratory and distribution of copies of the safe and eco-driving manual.
